REACT funding success stories
Andrew Griffiths came to us in October 2013 as he had been made redundant and had accessed The Welsh Government REACT funding after attending an interview with Careers Wales.
Andrew was trained and assessed in specialist carpet cleaning and hard floor maintenance techniques.
After the training he felt confident enough to launch his business and is now trading as A.G. Cleaning Services and has contracts with the Village Hotel Swansea and FRF Motors.
Connor Dunn had been made redundant in January 2014 and after attending Careers Wales where he was seeking employment advice, he successfully accessed REACT funding.
Careers Wales also sign posted Connor to us at CTW as we were able to offer him the specialist training he required.
In March this year Connor was also trained and assessed and met the required standard in specialist carpet, upholstery and hard floor cleaning systems and successfully achieved a UKCPAS level 3 Cleaning Skills Certificate.
Note from the Director Antony Leamon.
After Connor had undertaken the training I’m delighted that we were able to create a pathway to full time employment for Connor through our network of business start-ups. He now has a fulltime position with Cardiff based Platinum Cleaning Contractors.
Julian Samuel, after being made redundant in December 2013 attended an interview with Careers Wales where he was encouraged to apply for REACT funding.
Careers Wales sign posted him to us at CTW, as Julian required a blend of cleaning and grounds maintenance training as he felt this would make him more attractive to potential employers.
In February, Julian was trained and assessed and successfully achieved UKCPAS Cleaning Skills certificate level 1 and 2 and also the UKCPAS Foundation Certificate in Grounds Maintenance (FCGM).
Note from the Director Antony Leamon.
I’m delighted to announce that we were also able to create a pathway to employment for Julian as he has secured employment with Swansea based Fairwood Cleaning Ltd
